The Pitch Black expansion has continued to see small price drops since launch, and the 36-pack Booster Display Box is now dipping below market value.
As of Sept. 2, the Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution Pitch Black Booster Display Box is available for $183.29 at Amazon through third-party seller reVend. Compared with Amazon’s current $209.95 list price, that takes $26.66 off the cost for a 13% discount and brings each booster down to roughly $5.09 before tax.
Since you can only buy single Pitch Black Booster packs for as low as $8.95 on Amazon, this deal on the three-dozen-pack box saves you $138.96 compared to buying them separately.
That $183.29 price even slips under TCGplayer’s $189.39 market price for the unopened display box.
For the money, each of the Pitch Black Display Box’s 36 packs contains 10 random trading cards from the Darkrai-themed Mega Evolution expansion. There are more than 115 cards to collect, including over 20 Trainer cards and more than 35 Pokémon and Trainer cards sporting special illustrations.
Those 36 packs give you plenty of chances to pull Pitch Black’s most value chase cards, including the $198 SIR Mega Darkrai ex, the $155 MHR Mega Darkrai ex, and the SIR Morpeko ex — though you can also buy Pitch Black cards individually on TCGplayer if you wish.
