Amelia Dimoldenberg destroys Ed Sheeran during SNL UK monologue
Amelia Dimoldenberg may have had Ed Sheeran on her show before, but that didn’t stop her from taking a solid jab at the singer during her SNL UK monologue.
“I’m incredibly privileged to have done so many interviews with people like Idris Elba, Cher, and even a world-famous red-headed puppet with a hand up his arse, telling him what to say,” says the Chicken Shop Date host in the clip above. Meanwhile, an image of her and Elmo appears in the background. “No, the other one,” she adds, switching to an image of Ed Sheeran, in a joke referencing the widespread criticism the singer has received recently after Macklemore was dropped from his tour after saying “Free Palestine” during a show.
This is the second week Sheeran has been mocked on SNL UK — last Saturday, he took a roasting during the “Weekend Update” segment.
