Hellbreak is a terrifying new horror trading card game — Dracula, Jaws, and more horror icons come together

Ever wondered who’d win in a fight between Dracula and Jaws? Spin Master’s new trading card game, Hellbreak, is here to answer that question.
It’s a head-to-head TCG where players pick a monster to lead their deck, then build resources and launch attacks until one player’s monster goes down — and this fall, it’s bringing together horror characters from multiple major studios into one game.
Universal Products & Experiences is the cornerstone partner, and the first card set already confirms some recognizable names: Dracula, The Bride of Frankenstein, and Steven Spielberg’s Jaws. Spin Master has also just added AMC, Blumhouse, and Lionsgate to the lineup, meaning the roster will expand well beyond Universal’s horror catalog as more sets roll out.

Developed with Ghost Galaxy, the first set features fully custom art from more than 43 artists — a lot of original work rather than reused film stills. Blumhouse founder Jason Blum described the collaboration as translating the studio’s unsettling style directly into gameplay, calling it “exactly the kind of fan-obsessed play we love.”
The first set, Dawn of Terror, comes in a few formats. The 2-Player Starter Set has everything two people need to play, plus exclusive Jaws and Dracula cards to lead each side. Booster Packs give you 13 cards each, with one foil, one borderless, and one rare-or-higher card. There’s also a Booster Bundle with 9 packs and some collector extras, or a full Booster Display with 24 packs for anyone going all in.
Dracula vs. Jaws is the kind of matchup horror fans would argue about, and now there’s a game to settle it. Hellbreak arrives soon, so keep an eye out for more character reveals in the months ahead.
