Apple is officially jumping on the smart display bandwagon. During the company’s recent “Welcome Home” launch, it revealed the new Apple HomeView smart display, which is set for release on Nov. 13. If you’re excited to get your hands on it, don’t head to Apple to preorder, as Amazon actually has it for a little bit less right now.
As of Oct. 15, select colors of the Apple HomeView — rose pink, silver, and space gray — are available to preorder for $289.99, down from the full list price of $299. That’s nearly $10 in savings ($9.01, to be exact), which may not be a lot, but we’ll certainly welcome any kind of preorder discount when tech prices just keep climbing.
The HomeView has Siri AI built in and a 7-inch Liquid Retina display. It also comes with speakers that support Spatial Audio for immersive sound, and you can easily use it to FaceTime people, send messages, make calls, and more. Of course, you can also customize its main display screen with your favorite photos or a calendar.
The HomeView can recognize up to six people in a household. Each user can have a personalized setup, which is a fun bonus.
