This $40 AI tool could turn your side-hustle idea into an actual app

Ever since the rise of smartphones, there has always been “an app for that,” which also usually means “a developer is required for that.” But thanks to AI, you can now get surprisingly far into app development without knowing what a curly brace does. You can start by describing what you want to build, and Swiftspeed generates the foundation for you. From there, its drag-and-drop editor lets you customize layouts, forms, workflows, databases, and other elements without suddenly needing to become a software engineer.
If you already have an existing website, you don’t necessarily have to start over to turn it into an app. Swiftspeed can turn existing websites, WordPress sites, WooCommerce stores, and Shopify stores into apps, making this particularly useful for small businesses that already have an online presence but want somewhere to live on their customers’ home screens.
One Swiftspeed project can become an Android app, an iOS app, and a progressive web app (PWA), so you don’t have to build separate versions from scratch. The Pro Plan also includes the files and source code for your Android and iOS apps, with the iOS version ready for testing via Apple’s TestFlight.
There’s plenty to add once you’ve built the basics, too. Stripe and PayPal integrations can handle payments, while in-app purchases and AdMob support provide monetization options.
