Tiffany Haddish had the perfect joke about Trump interfering in FIFA World Cup

Donald Trump cheerfully admitted on Monday that he had a part to play in getting U.S. striker Falorin Balogun’s red card match suspension reversed ahead of Team USA’s match against Belgium. In a White House press event, the president explained that he called FIFA boss Gianni Infantino to moan about the situation.

Guest hosting for Jimmy Kimmel in the clip above, Tiffany Haddish had the perfect response.

“One of our star players was supposed to be suspended from tonight’s game, but Donald Trump personally called the head of FIFA to get the player reinstated, which is surprising because Trump doesn’t know anything about soccer, and it’s the first time he’s ever defended a Black person,” says Haddish. “He’s growing. I’m so proud of him.”
